What Happens During a Permanent Makeup Appointment

If you've ever wondered what really happens during a Permanent Makeup appointment, you're not alone.

Many clients are curious, but also a little nervous about the process. If you decided it's time to get Powder Brows, Ombre brows, Nano brows or Lip blush service- at Elicci Beauty, we want you to feel completely comfortable, confident and excited before your treatment.

Here I will explain what happens behind the scenes and what to expect from start to finish.

1. Consultation and Design

   Every great result begins with a detailed consultation.

   We'll start by discussing your goals, skin type, preferred look and ant previous Permanent Makeup work you've had done. Then we carefully map and draw the shape to perfectly complement your facial features.

   
   

You'll get to see and approve the design before I start anything, so the shape, symmetry and color all

feel right for you.

2. Numbing for Comfort

   Once the shape is approved by you, a secondary numbing is used after first pass to keep you comfortable. Most clients describe the sensation as a light scratching feeling or plucking your brows - more line tiny vibrations than pain. My main goal is to make sure you're as relaxed as possible during your Permanent Makeup procedure.\

   
   

3. Color Matching

In some cases, especially for Lip blushing I custom-mix pigments based on your skin tone, undertone and desired look.

At Elicci Beauty I use high-quality pigments that fade out beautifully over time and maintain a soft natural tone as they heal. Natural results is what I aim for.

4. The Tattooing Process

   Now it's time for the Artistry!

   Using gentle, precise movements, the pigment is implanted into the skin layer by layer. It depends on your skin type and goals how many passes is needed.

   - For Combo Brows, we Combine Nano strokes in the front of the brow with the soft shading through the tail. Usually, a single needle is used for this service.

   - For Powder Brows, soft shading technique is used all throughout the brow, to give the pixelated effect that heals powdery and natural.

   - For Lip Blush, the color is built up gradually for a natural finish. After first session, lips heal to a tint effect. The more touch-ups that you do, the more lipstick results you will get.

Permanent Makeup appointment can take between 1.5-3 hours, depending how well your skin is taking the pigment, the area that I'm working on and how fast we decide on the shape.

5. Revealing Your New Look

After Permanent Makeup procedure, your new look will be revealed!

Expect the color to appear darker and more defined the first couple days, this will soften over the next couple weeks as your skin heals.

6. Aftercare and Healing

I will provide simple Aftercare instructions to ensure a perfect heal.

Expect light flaking and dryness as your skin renews itself, it's completely normal! In few weeks your color will settle into a soft and natural look.

7. The Touch-Up

   Your follow up appointment {usually 4-6 weeks} allows us to adjust the color, tone or shape it if needed. I call it a Perfecting Session.
