You're not just an artist, you’re not just learning the skill and creating beautiful brows or beautiful permanent makeup, you also have to know about marketing, websites, google ads, video editing, photo editing, just so many things you have to know!
One thing I’ve struggled back in the day was with my marketing and advertising. When I'm not up to date with posting my powder brows or lip blush pictures I notice things slowing down. Be consistent with your marketing even if you’re having good or bad months.
Take care of your body. This one is very important and I know it because I suffer with back pain and joint pain. I have to go to the chiropractor frequently. Permanent Makeup can do that to your bones and joints especially when you're so focused to all the details of your work.
Permanent Makeup can be more lucrative than many other careers, even if you don’t add other services. I mostly do eyebrows and I’ve been lucky enough to generate amazing money from it. My advice is don't do it all for the money, you have to be really, really passionate about it. I feel like this is number one mistake people make, jumping in Permanent Makeup without really loving what they do. See if you like Microblading vs. Powder Brow technique better, don't just do it ALL as soon as you start... Remember with lots of practice you can do it all!
